Meet DeeAnne Reimers, a therapist at Balanced, LLC.

DeeAnne Reimers, LCPC

Dee Anne is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at Balanced LLC.  She graduated with a BA in Psychology from Augustana College and her MA in Art Therapy from the University of Illinois Chicago.  She is currently in the process of obtaining Clinical Autism Certification. She has been practicing in the Peoria area since 1999, working with children as young as 18 months of age, adolescents, and adults in foster care, outpatient clinic, and family medical practice settings.  

Over the years DeeAnne has assisted people struggling with mental health disorders, grief & loss, stress management, trauma, adjusting to life transitions, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, Autism Spectrum Disorder and behavioral difficulties.  Her specialty has been working through the above issues compounded by physical and/or developmental disabilities - working with the patient, as well as their family members. 

Dee Anne's approach is very humanistic/client-centered, strength-based, and solution focused, and she seeks to honor client values.  This work can also come in the form of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), family systems, motivational interviewing,  mindfulness, rational-emotive therapy, interpersonal, psychodynamic, play and creative therapies. 

Dee Anne is a grown up farm kid, mother of two teenagers, spoiler of multiple pets, and lover of cringe-worthy jokes.
